Flattening objects in a layer in Office
You can permanently turn a grouped object into a picture object. This action is called flattening. Right-click a grouped object and choose Save As Picture from the pop-up menu. Choose a picture format and save the file in a location you want. You can then insert the resulting picture, which can’t be ungrouped.
