  • Microsoft Teams with an Office 365 subscription is the latest version of Microsoft Teams. Previous versions include, Lync 2013, Lync 2010, and Lync 2007. Microsoft Teams is compatible with Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows 7.
  • Install Lync for Mac 2011 - Skype for Business for Mac will be available in 2016. Until then, Lync for Mac 2011 is included with Office 365 and available for you to download and install. It works with Office 2011, Office 2016, Office 365, and Skype for Business Online. No other version of Lync or Skype for Business is available for Macs.

This issue occurs after you apply the December 2014 cumulative update for Microsoft Lync Server 2013 web components server. When Google Chrome is your default browser, and you try to connect to a Lync meeting by using Lync Web App, one of the following user interfaces appears on your Windows-based or Mac-based computer.

1 On Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, the plug-in required to use computer-based audio, video, application viewing, application sharing, desktop viewing, and desktop sharing can be installed only if you’re running Internet Explorer 10 or Internet Explorer 11 for the desktop. These features are not available with non-desktop versions of Internet Explorer 10 or Internet Explorer 11.

Hardware Requirements

Computer hardware requirements are determined by the operating system and browser. Voice and telephony features require a microphone and speakers, headset with microphone, or equivalent device compatible with the computer. Video features require a video device compatible with the computer. Mac and microsoft project. Great that you can mix and match the installs of Home Premium across PC and Mac.I soon mastered Command, Shift, 4 – so on with the blog! No problem – I had a license for Office 365 Home Premium with some spare installs out of the 5, so I could load Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook! After a quick search I found Parallels Desktop 8 and VMware Fusion 5. I’m making no judgment on either product, and don’t expect a full review – and there are other products too (Oracle’s VirtualBox, is another one), but it didn’t take long to get the trial versions of both these products up and running with Windows 8, Office 2013 and Project Professional 2013 (I could have loaded Project Pro for Office 365 – same thing, virtually.). I also wanted to use Excel on the Mac, and unfortunately the installed trial had expired.
